Description

Impact job searches often come with an experience Catch-22: Most positions require previous experience, but then how do you start? Conventional wisdom says the only way to break into these careers is heading to grad school, or doing an internship or fellowship program. Many in the sector, however, have found creative, alternative paths to launch themselves into impact careers. In this panel you’ll hear from people who’ve successfully leveraged blogging, volunteerism, and social media to land their impact jobs.

  • Looking forward to this discussion. Of course, building a professional brand, growing your network, and gaining experience and skills as a volunteer seems like a no-brainer in ANY career :) The challenge with impact careers is the gap between the rhetoric of the impact industry and the reality of the job market. This should be good.
