Charles is President & CEO of Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency (ACSS) which evolved in May 2010 from the merger of two 25 year old legacy agencies that helped homeless people find jobs. ACSS has a bolder vision focused on positioning people who were homeless to reach their ultimate potential to THRIVE in all aspects of their lives. Charles is a Midwesterner and was trained in engineering and business at the University of Michigan. He has a strong corporate, entrepreneurial, and academic background as a result of a 25-year sales & marketing career with IBM, launching an Internet infrastructure venture as Co-CEO, and serving as Assistant Dean & Chief Corporate Relations Officer at GSU’s Robinson College of Business. Charles has been married for over 30 years to his bride, Carol, and they have four children and three grandchildren.
